Magic Springs

Mark and I decided that this year NJ was big enough to get a season pass to Magic Springs (the local amusement and water park). Saturday Mark, Emma and I went to Magic Springs to check it out and see what all NJ would be able to ride. Emma had so much fun. She road 2 rides and then just hung out in the stroller while Mark and I took turns riding some rides. Sunday after church Mark met us at the restaurant for NJ's big surprise. NJ couldn't figure out exactly what was going on but she stood in line like a big girl and go her picture made for her pass. Then it was off to the rides. NJ wasn't a big fan of all the rides but she really enjoyed the train. We got her on a couple more rides but she wanted to go back to the train for one last ride before left. I did get her to ride the log ride with me and she wasn't to thrilled. She tired to get off in the middle of the ride but she stuck it out and says that she will ride with her daddy next time. The water park will be opening this weekend so I think she will have more fun when she can get in the water and play. I hopefully will have some better pictures this summer but for now here are the pictures Mark took with his phone.

Emma's first ride

Emma loves to go up and down on these big horses.

First ride of the day and NJ is in a great mood.

Second ride of the day and NJ is so scared, she can't lift her hand to wave to the camera.

Still scared but we got a little smile out of her

Easter Cont...

I forgot to add easter egg hunt pictures to my last post so here are some.

It was a little cool.

Emma did really good!

Our only Easter Bunny picture!

Emma is ONE!!!

Yesterday was Emma's first birthday. It was a very sad day because my baby isn't a baby anymore. She had a great day. The girls played most of the day and just hung out around the house. Then last night we met Daddy, Granddad, and Grams at Danny's and had a great supper. Before we left the entire restaurant sang "Happy Birthday" to Emma. Emma couldn't believe that everyone was singing to her. After dinner we all went to Granddad and Grams' and had cake and opened presents. Emma had tried the cake at the restaurant and didn't really like her hand being covered in icing. The second try and G and G's wasn't any better. She like looking a all her presents better. Notice I didn't say opening, NJ was the big helper who opened them and showed them to Em. When we got home she was just to excited to go to bed so she played with her toys and stayed up late. I think she enjoyed her first birthday!!

Easter

What can I say about our Easter Sunday? Well to start the day off my van had no gas so the girls and I sat in the car for an hour until poor Mark could get enough gas to get us going. OK, so I got the bad out of the way I can now get to the good.

Look at that beautiful Hair

Emma doesn't know what happened.

The girls woke up in a great mood. They loved what the Easter bunny left them so they played while I go ready. Besides being an hour late to church we had a great Sunday service, NJ was so happy because her daddy came to church. After church we went home to a great Easter lunch that Mark had prepared. Then it was off to the Village Easter Egg Hunt. The girls did great. Emma got 8 eggs all by herself and NJ got 23 eggs. NJ had really gotten good at the whole finding eggs thing because this was her 3rd hunt in less than a week.

(Boy is it hard to get a 1, 2, and3 year old to sit still)

We are alive!!

I have been very neglectful of the blog in the last couple of week, for that I am sorry. The family has been busy having fun. With spring here it has been hard to stay inside most weekends. We have gone up on top of Tower Mountain a couple of times and visited a couple different parks. NJ believes that we should go somewhere everyday but Emma doesn't have as much fun at the park yet.

Emma has started walking this month and she is up and into everything. Not that she wasn't into everything to begin with but now that she is walking there is no stopping her. Emma is much different than NJ was at this age and she is much harder to keep up with. Emma has cuts and bruises on almost every part of her body. Most people think she is a boy because she is so scuffed up all the time.

I will try to do better with my posting, this is just a small update on the Lane family.

Cinderella's Wedding

Cinderella arrived home Sunday afternoon from Amarillo and was ready to dress for her wedding. She put on her pretty white dress, her white shoes, her pink pearl necklace and bracelet, her pink earrings and her veil. With everything together she was ready to marry Prince Charming

The Park

The last 2 days have been really pretty so after lunch and shopping I took the girls to the local park. NJ was so excited to play and help Emma swing and slide. She was being a great big sister! We weren't there long before the park really filled up. NJ had a great time playing with a little girl named Katie. Katie was also 3 and had some really nice sand toys. The girls played and played. Katie's mom got them both popsicle and they thought they were the biggest kids there. Emma got tired fast because, there was very little for her to do so NJ had to say goodbye to her new friend. It turned out to be a great afternoon at the park.

Snow Day!

Last night we had a LITTLE snow storm, it was bad enough that church was canceled (after NJ and I attempted but failed to make it there). NJ was so excited this morning that she ran from window to window check to see if it snowed everywhere. I got dressed and gathered up all the girls stuff and went into the playroom to surprise her. She was so happy she was getting to go out and play in the snow.

Emma wasn't to thrilled and was ready to come in shortly after we went out. I was able to get a couple of pictures of Emma before she headed inside.

NJ on the other hand had to be dragged in. After making several snow angles and a little snowman it was inside to take off all our muddy stuff. NJ is still looking out all the windows checking on the snow.

Mohawk

Poor Emma had a very bad hair day last week and she wanted to share it with everyone.
Emma was born with much more hair than NJ and never lost it but, her hair has grown in thick in the middle of her head and not much on the sides. I find her sweet mohawk very cute but I am sure her grandparents will be very upset. NJ dreams of having long hair but, the poor little girl has such thin-fine hair that it has to stay short for now. DeDe got her some long hair for Christmas that she loves to play with. Hopefully when her real hair gets this long it wont be BLUE!

Bath

Emma has been a water baby since day one. She has always enjoyed playing in the tub, pool or any puddle of water she can find. She has finally outgrown everything else so, she has had to move up to the big tub.

The girls would love to take every bath together but NJ likes having so much water that poor Emma just floats. NJ is nice and will let some of the water out so Emma can join her.

Korbue enjoys the girls bath time because he gets lots of water to drink.

All Aboard Air NJ

NJ is so in love with flying that today she made her own plane and took Emma to Myrtle Beach. NJ had been playing in this little tote all afternoon telling me she was at the airport waiting to take off. She begged and begged for Emma to go with her so I finally gave in. She is so cute, when she gets to Myrtle Beach (the other side of the living room) she gets on the phone and tells me all about her motel room and what she is going to do. I guess I have a little world traveler on my hands.

Christmas In Maine

December 21st the Lane family headed to Maine, after 3 long days in the car we finally arrived. The girls were so excited to be in Maine and loved the condo we stayed in. Our first night there Nana and Taylor came down and had supper with us. Michelle and Grampy came down later. Taylor and Grampy spent the night and the girls had so much fun playing.

Christmas Eve was spent with Grampy and our day ended with a nice dinner at GG's house (Mark's grandmother). 2 more of the girls cousins were there so GG had a house full with 5 little girls. Christmas day we got up early to see what Santa brought and then it was off to Nana's for a ton of presents. Brunch was a Papa's house and the girls got to see more cousins.

6 children under 5 was a mad house but we all had fun. An early supper and Aunt Kathy's was how we finished off the day and finally wore NJ out. The rest of our time in Maine was spent catching up with family and enjoying our time together. The end of our trip came way to soon and it was back in the car for 3 more days. When we were finally home we were all exhausted but grateful for our safe return and the time we got to spend with everyone.
