With all the seating in our house, the girls thought this was the best place to watch TV.

I know, I know it isn't Tuesday anymore.

XBOX Wife Ten Things Tuesday

1. Mark called Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. It is funny how much a phone call can do for your spirits.

2. Tuesday's and Thursday's with Wendy. I really need that time with my sister we seem to be closer now than we have ever been in our lives.

3. The 5 kids in my Mother's day out class. They make me appreciate my children so much more.

4. My van is clean and it feels so nice not having to worry about something falling out when I open the door.

5. It is warm enough for the girls to go out on the deck and play.

6. It isn't so hot that we have to stay inside.

7. My laundry is all caught up.

8. Korbue got a haircut and he looks so much better.

9. My friend CS she is a great friend and she is someone great to bounce ideas and thoughts off of. It has been a long time since I have had a friend who is a member of the church who understands the battles of being a Christian and a parent.

10. And as always I am thankful for the 2 beautiful girls that I get to spend my life with.

Hi

We have all been under the weather and haven't really felt like taking pictures, OK I will be honest we haven't bathed enough to take pictures. We spend 3 days cooped up in our home that started feeling smaller by the minute. We did venture out of the house yesterday so hopefully we will start getting out and doing again. I will leave you with pictures to hold you over until we have more.

Happy Birthday Emma!!

Thursday was Emma's 2nd birthday. Thursday morning Emma woke up to NJ and Mama singing "Happy Birthday" and from then on she had a huge smile on her face. On are drive, to Little Rock, Mark called her and she was able to talk to her daddy which is one of her very favorite things to do. Then the crazy started, a huge storm moved across the state hitting Little Rock around 11. All the classes had to get in a small hallway behind the baptistery and wait the storm out (if you have never sat in a small hallway with 9 young children you don't know fun). The storm blew through and the weather was much nicer. NJ convinced Emma to let her pick where we ate supper so Applebee's was the location of Emma's birthday supper. After dinner we went to Granddad and Grams' house for presents and cake. Emma opens a little different than most people, she rips every gift open and never looks at it, she jut picks up another gift and moves to another location, needles to say she left a little tornado of paper all over the floor. After Cars cake we headed home for 13 hours of sleep.

Things everyone should know about Emma: she calls "Cars" Ka-choww, she ask for Ham for every meal, she can not keep her shoes on in the car, she wears her shoes on the wrong feet, she loves any kind of doll and likes to have one at all times, she talks non-stop, she is afraid of large dogs but loves little dogs even the ones that bite, she has OCD and loves to have everything in order we call her Monk (if you don't know who this is look on USA), she climbs on everything, she is a tomboy, she will argue with anything if NJ isn't around to argue with, she is very sweet and will give hugs and kisses all day long. Emma is lots of things and we love her for everyone of them. Emma has made the last 2 years wonderful for everyone that knows her.

Knitting

When unpacking boxes, that had once been my mom's, I found her knitting needles. I have held on to these needles for several years and late last fall I found a wonder website that taught me how to knit. I made myself this wonderful headband that was kind of "hippie" and was really great at holding my wild hair back. This morning NJ ask me to make her a headband like mine. Mine is made for an adult head so I did some figuring and made a pattern that would fit NJ's head. I completed NJ's this afternoon and Emma is so in love with it that I already have my Friday project mapped out. (I found the pattern for the large headband on blog I like to read and after I finished mine I found some other bloggers must have been checking out the same blog.)

Rain, Rain Go Away...

My girls love to sing this song, it seems that here lately I have wanted to sing this song everyday. Don't get me wrong I love the rain but I don't like big bad storms blowing through every other day.

With all this rain our current footwear is a little different than my most favorite footwear-flip flops. NJ and Emma love rain boots!!! Emma puts hers on at least once a day and stomps around the house showing us her boots.

It is really strange that the girls and I are somewhere that the rain seems to be never ending and Mark is somewhere that they pray for rain. While Mark was in Mississippi (January-March) they were pounded with storms on a weekly bases. It was so bad there that the building next to his was destroyed in one of the storms and then he flies out and within 24 hours he is in a place that never sees rain. It is strange that we all live on this planet and there are such extremes of weather. Growing up in Arkansas I have always feared tornadoes, I can remember living in Maine and getting very afraid during a very bad storm and no one knew what a tornado was really like. Moving back to Arkansas most people don't know what it is like to live 5 months with snow on the ground. I am very thankful that the Lord lets me spend time on this crazy planet with all the different types of weather.

Girls, Girls, Girls

If you don't know my family is made up of mostly girls. My father has 3 daughters and 5 of his 6 grandchildren are girls. My girls are also 2 of Mark's parents 3 granddaughters. We are a girlie family!! Over Spring Break my sister came down to visit with her daughter and her two friends, we had a girls day shopping and hanging out. NJ enjoyed the day hanging out with the big girls, they really made her feel like she was a big kid.

NJ is already ready for the girls to come back.

SCHOOL BUS!!!!!

"SCHOOL BUS" these are the words I hear screamed, at the top of Emma's lungs, every time we see any type of bus. Emma has a love for buses that is unbelievable. Twice a week when we make our hour plus drive to Little Rock, Emma gets an entire morning of joy, she sees every bus and she yells and points and waves. Emma's great love is this old school bus across the street from Sonic that we see on my several trips to Sonic each week. Maybe this bus will still be for sale when Emma is old enough to drive and we can get it for you first car.

I made the mistake of taking this picture in front of Emma and now every time we drive by she yells "Bus Cheese" so her bus can smile for its picture.
